A truly remarkable collab with Tahoe Modern, located in Truckee CA.
Our colleagues at Tahoe Modern approached us with a stunning custom desk design they wanted us to build for a client, which needed to be engineered to break down for transport and delivery. The desk includes an array of features for both functionality and style, including a soft-closure pencil drawer, recessed shelf, privacy panel, a grommet hole for cords to tuck out of the way, two waterfall ends for support and aesthetic appeal, and a movable filing cabinet with locking hardware. Some of our favorite additions/contributions include notched finger pulls on all of the drawers, select “prime” grade walnut as the material, and adjustable gliders on the waterfall ends and back panel for micro-adjustability.
This design is completely customizable and can be made in a variety of materials and finishes, tabletop shapes and edge profiles, and a variety of custom features including additional drawers and the placement of the drawers, integrated power outlets, optional keyboard trays, and other details that tailor the project for each individual’s functionality needs.
